LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Union College struggled the second week in a row as the Bulldogs posted a 22nd finish at the Strking Knights Invitaitonal in Louisville, Ky., over the weekend.
Union posted a two-day score of 6,906 in coming in 22nd out of 28 teams.
Morehead State (Ky.) won the event with a total pinfall of 8,488, while the Lindenwood (Mo.) Gold and Lindenwood Black teams placed second and third, respectively, with scores of 8,195 and 8,189. Pikeville (Ky.) was fourth at 7,954, and Bellarmine (Ky.) took fifth with a score of 7,881.
On Saturday, Union compiled a score of 4,356. Chad Ferguson (Louisville, Ky.) led the way with a pinfall of 966 in five games, while Justin Ward (Lexington, Ky.) knocked down 884 pins in five games. Competing in four games, Jesse Beal (Dayton, Ohio) tallied a score of 746. Mark Baker (Lexington, Ky.) and Jordan Rummel (Athens, Tenn.) both played in three games, scoring 493 and 507, respectively.
Union competed in four, four-game Baker blocks on Sunday, netting scores of 625, 692, 688 and 575.
The Bulldogs return to action on Friday and Saturday at the National Team Match Games in Fairview, Ill.
