WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - No. 21 Union College opened the 2009 season Wednesday with a 7-2 road win over rival University of the Cumberlands (Ky.).

Union took five of the singles' points and two in doubles' play. Camila Cunha (Sao Paulo, Brazil) started singles' play with a three-set win at No. 1. She teamed up with Juliana Negosek (Curitiba, Brazil) for the No. 1 doubles win.

Over the last four seasons, Union is a perfect 4-0 against Cumberlands.

The Lady Bulldogs enter Friday's match at NCAA Division II foe Lincoln Memorial (Tenn.) University with 1-0 record. The match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
