ATHENS, Tenn. - No. 22 Union College played with only five players, but earned a 5-4 Appalachian Athletic Conference win Friday at Tennessee Wesleyan College.

Union moved to 2-0 in the AAC with an overall record of 6-1 and Tennessee Wesleyan went to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

The Lady Bulldogs needed to win four singles' matches to escape with the conference win.

Union improved to 6-1 in No. 2 doubles' play thanks to Ximena Aguilar and Katie Sakalauskas winning Friday. The duo owns a record of 3-0 so far this season.

Next for Union is a 2 p.m. home match against Asbury (Ky.) College Monday.
