
BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - No. 22 Union College picked up a 9-0 win over Asbury (Ky.) College in a home contest Monday.
The win extended the Lady Bulldogs' winning streak to six matches. Union owns an 8-1 record after the win.
Katie Sakalauskas (Surrey, Canada) used a 6-2, 6-0 win in singles' play to improve to 8-0 on the season. Sakalauskas teamed with Andressa Coelho (Santa Maria, Brazil) for an 8-1 doubles' win.
Juliana Negosek (Curitiba, Brazil) did not drop a set in her singles' contest.
Asbury slipped to 2-10 in 2009.
Next for Union is the Shorter (Ga.) College Blast-Off Classic this weekend. The schedule for the event will be announced Tuesday.
