BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - No. 22 Union College did not show any signs of rust as the Lady Bulldogs posted a 9-0 win over Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Bluefield (Va.) College Monday at home.
The match was the first for Union in a week as the Lady Bulldogs moved to 3-0 in conference play and 8-1 overall. Bluefield went to 0-3 and all three matches have been against conference foes.
The Lady Bulldogs' 9-0 win was the second straight sweep.
Union did not drop a match to Bluefield. The six singles' victories gave Union 40 so far this season.
Nicole Bistline (Frankfort, Ky.) picked up her first win in singles' play this season.
Union will make the trip for a 3 p.m. conference match at UVa-Wise Thursday.
