WISE, Va. - No. 22 Union College made it eight wins in a row behind a 9-0 Appalachian Athletic Conference victory at UVa-Wise Thursday.

The Lady Bulldogs' record rose to 9-1 overall and 4-0 in the AAC. The 9-0 sweep was the third straight such victory for Union. UVa-Wise went to 1-5 overall with a conference record of 1-3.

Camila Cunha (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Juliana Negosek (Curitiba, Brazil) and Andressa Coelho (Santa Maria, Brazil) only dropped a set in each of their singles' matches.

Cunha and Negosek combined for the No. 1 doubles' win 8-1. The duo owns a record of 7-2 in doubles' matches this season.

Union travels to Covenant (Ga.) College for a 3 p.m. conference tilt Tuesday. A win would clinch the regular season title for the Bulldogs.
