BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College has added Kasey McCormick to the swim team for the 2009-10 season. She joins the Lady Bulldogs from Conner High School.

McCormick is a Hebron, Ky. native and she was coached at Conner by Kristina Rawe. McCormick also swam with the R.C. Durr Barracuda Swim Team under the direction of Chris Konerman.

She will add depth in the breaststroke events. McCormick finished 18th at the state championship in the 100-yard breaststroke and sixth in the region 100 breaststroke. The newest Lady Bulldog was also a member of Conner's 200 freestyle relay team that reached the state championship.

"I am very happy to have Kasey joining our program," said Union head coach Rafael Forti. "I believe she will make us stronger and I know she will excel academically likewise in swimming while at Union."

Union finished the 2009 NAIA Swimming and Diving National Championships in 12th place after a fourth-place finish at the Appalachian Swimming Conference Championship.
