BRISTOL, Tenn. - Union College dropped both games of an Appalachian Athletic Conference doubleheader Wednesday at King (Tenn.) College as the first game was 4-1 with the second being 11-2.

Union's record went to 4-6 in conference play with an overall record of 18-15. King moved to 5-5 in the AAC and 18-8 overall. Four of Union's conference losses have been on the road. The other two came at UVa-Wise on March 24.

Ashley Tatman (Lexington, Ky.) had a two-hit game in the second contest which extended her hitting streak to five games.

Alice Blauser (Hopkinsville, Ky.) pushed her team-high hitting streak to nine. The freshman went 1-for-3 with a run scored in each game.

Union remains on the road with a trip to conference foe Tennessee Wesleyan College Friday. The first game of the doubleheader is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

  • Away from home this season Union owns a 9-8 record.
  • Union's record against teams from Tennessee went to 3-6 this season.
  • The last time an opponent scored 10 or more runs against Union was in 2008 when UVa-Wise posted 11.
