ROME, Ga. - No. 10 Union College remained undefeated thanks to a 5-4 win at No. 15 Shorter (Ga.) College Thursday.

Union's record went to 12-0 after the match. Shorter owns a 11-6 record.

The Bulldogs took a 2-1 advantage into singles' play. The doubles' lose was only the third in a contested match this season. Union owns a 30-3 record when doubles' contests are played in 2009.

Juan Lorenzo (Barcelona, Spain) improved to 12-0 in singles' play thanks to a 6-0, 6-3 win.

Union will face another ranked opponent Friday with a 2 p.m. match against No. 13 Xavier (La.) University to be played in Rome, Ga.
