Men's Cross Country - Sat, Sep. 15, 2007

BEREA, Ky. – Four Bulldogs ran in the Top 18 at the Berea (Ky.) College Invitational Saturday morning en route to a third place finish.

Senior Brandon Kibert (Tazewell, Tenn.) once again led the Bulldogs with a sixth-place finish. He crossed the line with a time of 27 minutes and 23 seconds over the 8k course.

Daniel Kual (Stone Mountain, Ga.) and Eric Kinman (Erlanger, Ky.) finished 13th and 14th respectively. Kual crossed the finish line at the 28:55 mark while Kinman finished the course at 29:23.

Brennan O’Quinn (Meadowview, Va.) raced to an 18th place finish with his 29:37. Johnny Barnes (Stone Mountain, Ga.) finished 59th and rounded out Union’s squad on the day.

“We are encouraged with where we currently stand,” said head coach Jamie Jimison. “I still see areas for improvement, but everyone is clearly progressing with each passing week.”

Union finished third in the team results with 101 points. Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College took the team honors with 30 points, followed by Berea’s 67 points. The Bulldogs defeated conference foe UVa.-Wise by three points in Saturday’s standings.

David Mutuse from Lindsey Wilson won the individual championship with a time of 26:39.

The Bulldogs will participate in the First Cedarville University Open next Saturday in Cedarville, Ohio.
