BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - No. 9 Union College placed five players on the All-Appalachian Athletic Conference team and added the AAC's Coach and Player of the Year honors, the organization announced Friday.

Anthony Hill (Guayaquil, Ecuador) also made it three in a row, with the conference's player of the year honor. He was named to the All-AAC team for a fourth-straight season as well. He went 11-2 in singles' play with 10 of the wins in No. 1 singles' play. Hill and Alvaro Vargas (Manizales, Columbia) teamed up to go 14-0 in doubles' action this season.

For Union's Renzo Lopez, this is his third straight AAC Coach of the Year award, matching the three in a row on the women's side. He help guide the Bulldogs to not only the best start in the modern era, but a perfect 14-0 regular-season record including a 6-0 conference record.

Juan Lorenzo (Barcelona, Spain), Renardy Guelfi (Curitiba, Brazil) and Roscoe Moonieyan (East London, South Africa) were all first-time All-AAC selections while Rafael Millon (Sao Paulo, Brazil) earned his second All-AAC nod in a row.

Lorenzo and Moonieyan both posted perfect singles' records. Lorenzo won 13 times with Moonieyan earning 12 victories. The duo also combined for an 8-3 doubles' record.

Guelfi went 13-1 in his freshman season with the lone loss coming in the season opener at the No. 1 singles' position losing in three sets. He was also Union's player on the AAC All-Sportsmanship team.

Vargas was an All-AAC honorable mention player.

Lorenzo and Moonieyan made the grade to be on the AAC All-Academic squad.

Union opens the AAC Tournament Friday with a semi-final contest between the winner between King (Tenn.) College and Milligan (Tenn.) College. The Bulldogs take to the court at 3 p.m.
