CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - No. 25 Union College used a 5-1 win Friday over Milligan (Tenn.) College in an Appalachian Athletic Conference semifinal contest to advance to the championship match Saturday.
Union, the tournament's top seed, will play Covenant (Ga.) College, the No. 2 seed, at 8:30 a.m. Saturday with the winner earning a trip to the NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship.
The Lady Bulldogs made it 32 wins in a row against AAC squads after the victory. Union improved to 12-3 on the season. Milligan's season ended with an overall record of 4-6.
Milligan defeated King (Tenn.) College 5-0 to start Friday's play to reach the semifinals.
