Bulldogs to take on Royals at 2 pm Tuesday

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Union College will open the 2009 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round against Warner (Fla.) University Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Daytona Beach, Fla.

The opening round is being hosted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical (Fla.) University and the games will be played at Sliwa Stadium.

The Bulldogs are 43-10 overall and ranked No. 14 in the NAIA, while the Royals are 37-16 on the year. Warner was ranked 15th on April 28, but after finishing third in the Sun Conference Tournament, it dropped out of the NAIA Top 25. In the final poll released Friday, the Royals garnered 123 total points to place 26th overall.
