BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College has added a third player from Northeast High School to the Bulldogs' soccer squad for the 2009 campaign as Dominic Scheele has signed with Union.

Scheele joins teammates Steve Young and Patrick Hanna from Northeast High to come to Union.

Scheele won the District 10-AAA Offensive MVP along with all-district and was named to the All-Region 5-AAA squad. He finished the season with 21 goals and nine assists.

"Dominic is nice player that I expect to come in and prove himself as a forward in preseason," Union head coach Tyler Brock said.

Scheele also played for the Kaos Celtics club squad.

"Dominic has the ability to be dynamic," Brock added. "He can create scoring opportunities for himself when he needs to and I look forward to him becoming a smarter and more efficient player once he gets here."

Union finished the 2008 season with a 10-5-4 record including a 9-0-2 home record. The Bulldogs finished sixth in the Appalachian Athletic Conference behind a 3-3-1 record before losing in the quarterfinals after a shootout.
