BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - The Union College women's bowling team bolstered its roster for the 2009-10 campaign with the addition of Christy King, Lady Bulldog coach Matt Mahony announced recently.
"Christy has great character and will bring a competitive attitude to our women's program," Mahony said. "She is a very well-rounded person and the ideal student-athlete for Union College."
A 2009 graduate of Hendersonville High School in Hendersonville, Tenn., King was a four-year member of the HHS bowling team, which qualified for the TSSAA State Championships all four seasons. Hendersonville High won the state title in 2008.
During her senior season, King carried a 200 average.
Union is entering its second season as a program, but the 2009-10 campaign will be the first the Lady Bulldogs will compete as a full squad.
