JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - Union College made a splash in the Southeastern Collegiate Cycling Conference over the weekend with three wins and numerous Top-10 rides during the event at East Tennessee State University.

Matt Nourmohamadi (Laguna Hills, Calif.) won the Men's "B" cross country and short track events. He led a group of Bulldogs into the Top-10. Zac Moore (Loveland, Ohio), Sean Trinque (Pascoag, R.I.) and Colin McEachran (Blenheim, Canada) followed Nourmohamadi in the races.

Greg Gibson (Provo, Utah) won the men's dual slalom event and was one of six Union riders in the event's round of 16. He also added a sixth-place ride in cross country to go with a fifth in the short track race.

Zach Winn (Port Hope, Canada) posted a fourth-place finish in the expert cross country race after a third-place performance in the short track.

Wesley Lamberson (Limestone, Tenn.) returned to his training grounds and was in the round of eight in the dual slalom. He also posted a Top-10 short track ride in his first weekend of collegiate racing.

Brad Nelson (Carmel, Ind.) rode to a pair of Top-10 finishes in the cross country and short track events.

Justin Becker (Loveland, Ohio) returned to the collegiate circuit with a fifth-place downhill finish and he also advanced to the round of eight in the dual slalom.

German Bermudez (Louisville, Ky.) was among the Top-10 in the cross country event.

On the women's side, Rachel Millsop (Springdale, Ark.) qualified with the second-fastest time in the dual slalom before finishing tied for third. She also had fourth-place rides in both the short track and cross country races.

Tara Gambrel (Middlesboro, Ky.) and Emily Yeager (Dry Ridge, Ky.) both contributed for Union in various events.

"Our team provided a total team effort this weekend," Union head coach Chuck Coffey commented.

The events were the first for Union as member of the SECCC and the team will travel to Florida State University this weekend.
