BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College had two players score two goals each in Wednesday's 6-0 victory over Midway (Ky.) College.

Stephanie Cagle (Independence, Ky.) scored two first-half goals to help Union's cause. The scores were her first collegiate goals as well.

Ashley Hall (Hazard, Ky.) also scored twice in the contest, once in each half. Hall's first goal came in the 29th minute followed by a 60th minute score. Hall provided an assist for one of Cagle's goals.

Renata Peixoto (Brasilia, Brazil) added Union's second score in the 12th minute and had both assists for Hall's scores.

Olivia Brock (Hebron, Ky.) got credit for the contest's first goal. Brock served a corner kick into the box and deflected off a Midway player into the net during the fourth minute.

Katarina Sprunk (Port Charlotte, Fla.) was credited with an assist on Cagle's second score.

Patricia Nardy (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and Brittany Puryear (Somerset, Ky.) each played a half in goal for Union for the squad's second shutout of the season.

The win boosted Union's record to 3-0 while Midway stands at 0-1.

Union had 21 shots during the contest while Midway attempted three.

The Lady Bulldogs will make their first road trip of the season Tuesday to Mountain State (W.Va.) University. The match is scheduled to start at 4 p.m.

  • Union's home winning streak was extended to 14.
  • The Lady Bulldogs have scored six or more goals seven times since the start of the 2008 season.
  • Ten different Union players have scored a goal in 2009.

  • Hall became the 13th player in program history with 70 career points. She has 71 which is tied for 12th with Jenny Maxey (1998-2000).
