
BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College enters the weekend's Southeastern Collegiate Cycling Conference event at Lees-McRae (N.C.) College second in the team standings with four of the top eight riders on the men's side.
Union, a Division II squad, has collected 209 points so far this season which trails Warren Wilson (N.C.) College's 376 points. Warren Wilson has competed in all three weekends of action with Union only attending two weekends of racing. Union has a 32-point lead over East Tennessee State University in third. Brevard (N.C.) College has a 134 for fourth with Georgia Southern University fifth.
Zach Winn (Port Hope, Canada) owns second in the omnium standings thanks to 343 points so far this season. Warren Wilson's Linden Blaisus has the lead with 345.
Greg Gibson (Provo, Utah) has 316 points which has him third. Brad Nelson (Carmel, Ind.) and Wesley Lamberson (Limestone, Tenn.) are seventh and eighth, respectively.
On the women's side, Rachel Millsop (Springdale, Ark.) holds fourth spot with 390 points. Warren Wilson has a trio of riders atop the standings led by Rebecca Parish and her 482 points.
Union will battle within the SECCC once again this weekend at Lees-McRae College. Action is scheduled to get underway Saturday.
