
BREVARD, N.C. - Union College slipped to second after a final-round 303 Tuesday at the Montreat College Fall Invitational contested at the Glen Cannon Country Club.
The Bulldogs, the first-round leaders, were overtaken by NCAA Division II member Brevard (N.C.) College by four shots. Brevard posted a 293 to finish with a two-day total of 593 while Union was at 597.
Jordan Hogue (Stanford, Ky.) led the Bulldogs Tuesday with a 74 which had the sophomore in the Top 10 in the individual standings. Josh Dyer (Lexington, Ky.) fired another 74 while Adam LaTulippe (Hamilton, Ohio) carded a 76. Ben Schneider (Ft. Thomas, Ky.) added a 79.
Union will return to the course in two weeks at the Fall Appalachian Athletic Conference Championship. First-round play starts Monday, Sept. 28, at the Cattails at Meadowview Golf Course in Kingsport, Tenn.
