BREVARD, N.C. - Union College captured the Montreat College Fall Invitational team championship Tuesday at the Glen Cannon Country Club thanks to a final-round 350.
The Lady Bulldogs' 350 was a season best for the squad. Union posted a 352 in the final round of the Union College Fall Invitational two weeks ago which also resulted in a team victory.
Pacing Union was Ashley Buxton (Defiance, Ohio) with another 83 which matches her Monday score. The sophomore finished second in the individual standings.
Kayla Horn (London, Ky.) shot 84 to improve from her first-round 93. Tiffany Willis (Berea, Ky.) fired an 87 which was good enough to land fifth in the individual standings.
Next on the schedule for Union is the Tornado Fall Invitational Oct. 5-6 at the Country Club of Bristol (Tenn.).
