CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Union College’s senior standout Brandon Kibert ran to a 21st place finish at the First Cedarville University Cross Country Open Saturday morning.
Kibert (Tazewell, Tenn.) crossed the finish line with a time of 27 minutes and 50 seconds over the 8,000 meter course.
Freshman Eric Kinman (Erlanger, Ky.) was the next Bulldog to finish in 55th place at the 29:54 mark. He was followed closely by Brennan O’Quinn (Meadowview, Va.) and his time of 30:45 in 60th place.
Cody Miller (Middlesboro, Ky.) and Scotty Barnes (Ewing, Va.) rounded out the Bulldogs’ squad with times of 36:08 and 38:08, respectively.
Union finished eighth in the team standings with 219 points, 18 behind Georgetown (Ky.) College. Cedarville runners took the top three spots en route to the team title with 22 points, in front of second-place Taylor (Ind.) University by 49 points.
Jud Brooker, from Cedarville, won the individual title with his time of 26:07.
The next race for Union is the Wilmington Fall Classic on October 12.
