
BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College held onto third place in this week's edition of the Southeastern Collegiate Cycling Conference Division II standings going into this weekend's SECCC Championship at Clemson, S.C. while a member of the team jumped into the omnium lead.
Zach Winn (Port Hope, Canada) moved into the Division II Omnium lead after the Brevard (N.C.) College weekend of racing. Winn entered the weekend 15 points behind, but now leads 661 to 619 over Linden Blaisus, from Warren Wilson (N.C.) College. Winn had two of Union's 14 Top-10 expert finishes over the weekend.
Rachel Millsop (Springdale, Ark.) moved up to fifth on the women's side thanks to four Top-10 rides.
Union also has a trio of men in the Top-10, led by Brad Nelson (Carmel, Ind.) in seventh. Greg Gibson (Provo, Utah) and Wes Lamberson (Limestone, Tenn.) have spots nine and ten, respectively.
Union trails Warren Wilson and Brevard (N.C.) College in the team standings. Warren Wilson has 697 points, followed by Brevard's 538. Union has collected 482 points and East Tennessee State University owns fourth with 302 points.
