WALESKA, Ga. - Union College swept past Reinhardt (Ga.) College 3-0 in a road Appalachian Athletic Conference match Thursday to extend a winning streak to six in a row.
Union took the opening set 26-24 and then added set wins of 25-20 and 25-19 for the conference victory.
The win sent Union to 13-3 overall and 7-1 in the AAC. The Lady Bulldogs also have a Reinhardt slipped to 4-4 in league play and 4-12 overall.
Brooke Vinovich (Somerset, Ky.) tied her season high with 14 kills. Amelia Cantrell (Georgetown, Ky.) added eight kills while Lauren McMillian (Corbin, Ky.) had seven.
Meg Donnelly (Middletown, Ohio) served three aces to go with her 12 digs. Maddie Peterson (Soda Springs, Idaho) led the squad with 17 digs.
Monica Moreland (Louisville, Ky.) recorded 40 assists.
Union will host Covenant (Ga.) College and the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) Saturday. The Lady Bulldogs and Covenant will play at 1 then Union and the Cumberlands face off at 5 p.m.
