Buxton plays into 18-hole lead at Tornado Invite

BRISTOL, Tenn. - Union College's Ashley Buxton used an opening round 81 to take the individual lead at the Tornado Fall Invitational Monday and her round helped Union to the team lead at the Country Club of Bristol.

Buxton (Defiance, Ohio) posted her best round of the season Monday.

Tiffany Willis (Berea, Ky.) followed with a 91 while Kayla Horn (London, Ky.) fired a 95. Kara Pile (Fairdale, Ky.) carded a 105 to round out Union's scoring.

The Lady Bulldogs own a 21-shot advantage entering Tuesday's final 18 holes. Union posted a 370 in the opening round.
