ATHENS, Tenn. - Union College kept the streaks alive Tuesday with a 3-0 Appalachian Athletic Conference victory at Tennessee Wesleyan College. The win was the ninth in a row for Union, the seventh 3-0 sweep and the 16th victory over Tennessee Wesleyan.

After the match, Union improved to 8-1 in conference play and 16-3 overall. Tennessee Wesleyan went to 2-15 overall and 1-10 in league play.

Union used scores of 25-12, 25-13 and 25-14 for the victory.

Maddie Peterson (Soda Springs, Idaho) led the squad with 10 kills. Monica Moreland (Louisville, Ky.) provided 30 assists with three aces. Amanda Silva (Londrina, Brazil) was credited with 20 digs.

Union will travel to UVa-Wise for an AAC match Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Lady Bulldog Notes

  • Union has not lost to Tennessee Wesleyan since joining the AAC for the 2002 season.
  • Peterson tied her season high with 10 kills.
  • During Union's nine match winning streak, three of the wins have been on the road.
