BREVARD, N.C. - Union College won the Fall Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament Tuesday after rallying in the final nine holes. Tiffany Willis also won the individual medalist honors.

Union posted a 362 after the opening 18 holes and followed with a 177 for the final nine holes. Montreat (N.C.) College finished second with Tennessee Wesleyan College third. The Lady Bulldogs trailed Montreat by eight shots after the first 18 holes.

Willis (Berea, Ky.) posted a 27-hole total of 126 to the individual championship.

Ashley Buxton (Defiance, Ohio) finished fourth thanks to her score of 131.

Kara Pile (Fairdale, Ky.) and Kayla Horn (London, Ky.) added identical 18-hole scores of 93 and both carded similar rounds of 48 for nine holes. Danielle Hardin (Corbin, Ky.) chipped in a 47 for the final nine holes.

Rain shortened the 36-hole event down to 27 holes after Monday's opening round was canceled at the Glen Cannon Country Club.

The fall AAC standings will be combined with the spring event to determine the regular-season champion.

The event was the last for Union's fall season and the Lady Bulldogs won four of the five events.
