BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College posted a 3-0 sweep over Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College Tuesday which extends the Lady Bulldogs' winning streak to 12 and a home streak of 19 victories in a row.

Union improved to 19-3 on the year while Lindsey Wilson fell to 6-22. The sweep was also the 10th straight for the Lady Bulldogs.

The Lady Bulldogs jumped ahead early for a 25-9 first-set win. The next two sets had scores of 25-22 and 25-17 in favor of the home team.

Meg Donnelly (Middletown, Ohio) posted a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs. Autumn Combs (Florence, Ky.) had nine kills on 17 attempts.

Amanda Silva (Londrina, Brazil) was credited with 16 digs and she served three aces. Monica Moreland (Louisville, Ky.) provided 36 assists.

Union travels to play Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Virginia Intermont College for a 6:30 p.m. contest Friday.

Lady Bulldog Notes

  • Union has a 5-1 record against teams from the Mid-South Conference this season.
  • Brooke Vinovich (Somerset, Ky.) needs eight kills to become the third player in program history with 1,300 career kills. She had seven Tuesday.
