BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College had the Appalachian Swimming Conference Swimmers of the Week, the organization announced Thursday. David Johnson picked up the men's nod while Molly Fittro was the women's winner.

Johnson, a sophomore from Louisville, Ky., was the anchor leg on Union's record breaking 200-yard medley relay squad that obtained a NAIA National "A" cut. His split was 21.45 seconds. He also won the 50 freestyle in 21.99 seconds for anther "A" cut.

Fittro, also a sophomore, anchored the Lady Bulldogs' 200 medley relay squad that posted an "A" cut. The Seaside, Calif., native also won the 200 freestyle in an "A" cut time and she was the lead off leg of the 200 freestyle relay squad's National "B" time.

Union will travel to Wilmore, Ky., Saturday with a meet against Asbury (Ky.) College and Bellarmine (Ky.) University starting at 1 p.m.
