KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Union College continues to receive votes in the sixth regular-season NAIA Football Top 25 Coaches' Poll, the NAIA announced Monday.

Union improved to 4-3 overall and 3-2 in Mid-South Conference East after defeating Pikeville (Ky.) College 21-6 last week.

The Bulldogs garnered three total points after collecting 20 points in last week's poll.

The University of Sioux Falls (S.D.) continued its dominance in the No. 1 position earning 444 total points and 18 first-place votes in the NAIA Top 25 Poll. Playing outside the NAIA football world on Saturday, Sioux Falls toppled the University of North Dakota, an NCAA Division I Championship Subdivision member, by a score of 28-13 in Grand Forks, N.D. That win extended the Cougars winning streak to 21 straight, which is tied for college football's longest in any division. Mount Union (Ohio), an NCAA Division III member, also holds 21 straight wins.

With a perfect 7-0 record, Sioux Falls is the top team for the ninth straight poll dating back to the 2008 Postseason Top 25. The Cougars face Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) next weekend, a team voted third in the league's coaches' preseason poll. This year, Sioux Falls holds a 375-46 scoring advantage this year.

No. 2 Carroll (Mont.) continues to win and remains in the second spot. After a 23-3 win over Montana Tech in the College Fanz/NAIA Game of the Week, Carroll holds an 8-0 record. The Fighting Saints garnered 425 total points and the remaining first-place nod.

Ranked first in the country in scoring offense, No. 3 Lindenwood (Mo.) checks in with 410 total points in the poll. The Lions average 58.1 points and have hit 60-plus points in three games. Their average margin of victory during a 7-0 start is a whopping 40 points.

No. 4 Saint Francis (Ind.) is one of eight undefeated teams in the country. The Cougars have won 55 straight home games and next face NCAA Division II Missouri Science & Technology on the road. During a 6-0 start, the Cougars have defeated five opponents by at least 20 points.

At the No. 5 position for the ninth straight poll, Morningside (Iowa) keeps pace in the Great Plains Athletic Conference with Sioux Falls. The Mustangs are a perfect 6-0 on the year and head to Midland Lutheran (Neb.) next Saturday. Midland Lutheran is one game behind Morningside in the conference race.

The only team to drop out of the Top 25 from last week is St. Ambrose (Iowa) (No. 18) - the Fighting Bees lost 26-21 to unranked William Penn (Iowa). This week snaps a run of 73 straight polls for St. Ambrose, which was the fourth longest active stretch.

No. 25 Grand View (Iowa) replaced St. Ambrose in the poll this week. This marks the first time in school history that the Vikings have been ranked. The Vikings have won four in-a-row and have averaged 33 points during that stretch. Grand View is competing in just its second year of varsity football.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and independents. The next Top 25 Poll will be announced on Monday, Oct. 26.

Union will play host to Shorter (Ga.) College Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
