BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Ashley Hall recorded her second career hat trick Saturday in helping Union College to a 4-2 victory over visiting Brescia (Ky.) University.

Hall (Hazard, Ky.) last notched a hat trick on Oct. 9, 2008, in a 6-1 win over Montreat (N.C.) College. With Saturday's trifecta, she is now tried with Marcela Salum (Guatemala City, Guatemala) for the team lead in goals with 14.

Eighteen minutes into the game, Hall netted the game's first goal when she drove home her own rebound.

Nikkita English scored the equalizer off a corner kick in the 32nd minute, sending the game into the half tied at 1-1.

In the 60th minute, Hall scored on a breakaway to put Union up 2-1. Salum recorded the assist. Hall was then fouled in the box in the 61st minute, resulting in a penalty kick for the Lady Bulldogs. Goalkeeper Patricia Nardy (Sao Paulo, Brazil) took the penalty kick and scored her second goal of the season as the lead grew to 3-1.

Hall scored on another breakaway in the 69th minute, upping the margin to 4-1. Jenn Sckirl (Edmonton, Canada) collected the assist on the play.

Brescia countered with a goal in the 71st minute but could not muster any more offense as Union recorded the 4-2 decision.

With the win, Union improved to 13-2 overall and extended its home winning streak to 19 games.

Union returns to action Wednesday when it plays host to King (Tenn.) College at 2 p.m.
