MARIETTA, Ga. - Union College posted a ninth-place finish at the Brunswick Southern Collegiate Classic over the weekend in Marietta, Ga.
The Lady Bulldogs had a total pinfall of 9,441 to put the ninth out of 12 teams.
The University of Central Florida won the event with a total pinfall of 12,272 with Lindenwood (Mo.) University next in line at 11,982. Webber International (Fla.) University took third with 11,740 pins.
During Saturday's seven-game format, Union tallied a score of 5,605 to put it ninth.
Christy King (Hendersonville, Tenn.) led Union with an 18th-place finish as she had a total pinfall of 1,273. She also posted a team-best, single-game score of 234.
Kayleen Hiatt (Kettering, Ohio) finished 27th overall with a pinfall of 1,206. Christen Havens (Gallatin, Tenn.) had a pinfall of 1,114, which was good enough for 35th place. Ariel White (Tazewell, Tenn.) and Haley McDowell (Lexington, Ky.) had pinfalls for 988 and 964, respectively.
Union racked up a pinfall of 3,836 during Sunday's 24 Baker games to maintain its ninth-place status. During the head-to-head play, the Lady Bulldogs had two wins over Bellarmine (Ky.) University and one over Florida State University.
Next up for Union is the BTM Striking Knights Classic in Louisville, Ky. on Nov. 21-22.
