BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Union College senior Beau Brown collected Appalachian Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors, the league announced Monday.
Brown (Athens, Tenn.) scored 17 points and seven rebounds in the 94-82 win over Indiana University East last week. However, he made his biggest contribution on the defensive end with a career-high seven steals.
In netting his 17 points, Brown made 7-of-13 shots from the field as well as both of his free-throw attempts.
Brown is averaging 12.4 points per game and leads the team in rebounding with an average of 6.54 boards per night. He also leads the Bulldogs with 33 steals on the year and has dished out 24 assists.
Union (8-7 overall) will take its three-game win streak on the road Wednesday when it takes on conference foe Bluefield (Va.) College at 7:30 p.m.
