FINDLAY, Ohio - Union College senior Scotty Barnes won the Heptathlon at the University of Findlay Indoor Track & Field Classic Saturday.

Barnes (Ewing, Va.) scored 4,170 total points to win the Heptathlon, four more than second-place Brandon Brodwolf of Notre Dame (Ohio) College. Freshman Andrew Johnston (Benton, Ky.) finished fourth with 2,563 points.

Barnes and Johnston were the only Bulldogs to compete at the Findlay Indoor Classic.

In all, Barnes won two of the seven events of the Heptathlon. He took first in the shot put with a throw of 41 feet, 6.5 inches. Barnes also won the 60 Meter Dash in 7.30 seconds. Barnes did not finish worse than third in any event and was second in 60 Hurdles.

Union will next compete Friday at the Findlay Open.
