HENDERSON, Tenn. - No. 16 Union bounced back from back-to-back losses with an 8-2 victory over host Freed-Hardeman Sunday.

The Bulldogs improve to 5-4 overall following the win, while the Lions drop to 6-5 on the season.

Union returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Georgetown (Ky.) at 2 p.m. for a nine-inning contest.

Adam Snyder (Knoxville, Tenn.) tossed seven solid innings in recording the victory. He allowed two earned runs on 10 hits, a walk and a hit batter while fanning seven.

Koby Hearn (Paris, Ky.) notched his second save of the season, pitching two shutout innings without giving up a hit while striking out one.

Freed-Hardeman scored in the first, but Union scratched out a run in the third and fourth frames to take a 2-1 lead. The Lions evened the score at 2-2 when Joe Mike singled in a run.

In the fifth, Union took advantage of a couple of Freed-Hardeman miscues to score twice and take the lead for good. With runners on second and third and no outs, Ryan Satterlee (Youngstown, Ohio) scored on a wild pitch as Brian Mouton (Oakland, Calif.) advanced to third. Soon thereafter, Mouton came home to make it 4-2 when Roman Kelly balked.

It remained a two-run game until the ninth when the Bulldogs rallied for four runs. Mouton had the big hit of the inning with a two-run single.

Brandon Hedrick (Corbin, Ky.) led Union offensively in going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a solo home run. Mouton finished 1-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs, while Troy Sitton (Cobden, Ill,) drove in a run and went 1-of-5 at the plate.

Freed-Hardeman outhit Union 10-8, but the Lions were plagued by four errors.
