BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Junior Gina Loflin (Salisbury, N.C.) was tabbed as the Appalachian Athletic Conference Player of the Week as the Lady Bulldogs posted a 3-1 record in two double header matchups against St. Catharine's College and then AAC conference leader Reinhardt College, improving its season record to 7-7 (1-1 AAC).

This is Loflin's first AAC Player of the Week honor of her career.

Starting all four games at catcher, Loflin went 7-for-13 (.538) from the plate, knocked in eight RBI's and scored seven runs while also belting three homeruns.

On the season Loflin has started all 14 games at catcher and boasts a .333 batting average (14-of-42) while also sporting a .595 slugging percentage.

The junior set a new Union College record for RBI's in a game, hitting in six of her eight RBI's on the week in the back end of the double header against St. Catharine College. The previous record for RBI's in a game was five, last accomplished by Lee Davis (Lexington, Ky.) against St. Catharine's College back on February 25, 2009.

Loflin also tied the program record for homeruns in a game with two round-trippers in the second game of the double header against St. Catharine's College. She belted all three of her homeruns in the double header against the Lady Patriots.

The Lady Bulldogs return to action Wednesday as the play host to UVA-Wise for a conference double header. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 pm at Union Field.
