Union returns to action Friday when it hosts Bryan (Tenn.) in an Appalachian Athletic Conference doubleheader at 1:30 p.m.
Even though 14 total pitchers were used, the game turned into a pitchers' duel. Union used nine hurlers with only Koby Hearn (Paris, Ky.) going more than an inning. Hearn tossed 1 1/3 innings of perfect ball in collecting the win, improving to 3-2 on the season.
Jason Parsons (Hamilton, Ohio) struck out two as part of a 1-2-3 ninth to record his fifth save of the year.
As a staff, the Bulldogs gave up two runs, one earned, on six hits, two walks and one hit batter with six strikeouts.

Union tied it in the second when Brandon Hedrick (Corbin, Ky.) led off with a double and later came home on a Longbrake two-out single. The Bulldogs grabbed a 2-1 edge in the fifth when Demetrius Davis (Marietta, Ga.) singled in Longbrake.
Trevecca Nazarene evened the ledger in the seventh thanks to an error. Pinch-hitter Trae Weiss led off with a double and moved to third on a sac bunt, Brad Gooch attempted a squeeze bunt to get Weiss home. However, the ball went to pitcher Blaine Adams (Kansas City, Mo.) and had Weiss dead at the plate but an errant throw allowed the run to score to make it 2-2.
In the eighth, Union loaded the bases with no outs thanks to three consecutive walks. Sitton followed with a single up the middle, scoring Ryan Satterlee (Youngstown, Ohio) and Brian Mouton (Oakland, Calif.) for the 4-2 advantage.
Parsons closed the door on any hopes of a Trojan rally as got Weiss to ground out, Trey Morrison out looking and Gooch out swinging to end the game.
The Trojan offense practically began and ended with Tidwell, who went 3-for-4 with a triple and a run scored. The rest of the Trevecca Nazarene lineup went a combined 3-for-24.
