BARBOURVILLE, Ky. - Clinton County High School combo guard Storm Burchett (Albany, Ky.) recently signed his letter of intent to join the Bulldogs men's basketball program, the Union College athletics department announced today.

Burchett, a 6-foot-3 guard who can also play the forward position, averaged 15.6 points per game in his senior season while also 4th-Region All-Tournament Team honors as well as 4th-Region All-Team honors. He also earned 4th- Region All A-Tournament Team honors for the third straight season and 16th-Region All District Team honors for the third consecutive season.

Burchett leaves Clinton County High School after scattering his name all over the record books. He is the 19th highest all-time leading scorer (1,074), the eighth highest rebounder (593), third in assists for a career (289), seventh in steals (125), third in free throws made (333) and fourth in career games played.

"We are excited about Storm joining Union College and the Bulldog basketball family," commented head coach Sean Gillespie.

"In talking with his coaches and watching him on tape, there is no doubt about his ability to compete at the next level. His effort in the weight room, in the gym and in the locker room will be a great asset to the future of our program. This young man loves to play the game and is not afraid of the preparation that comes with being a good player. He is going to be a great fit here Union."
