Men's Cross Country - Tue, Oct. 16, 2007

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – For the first time since September 17, the Union College men’s cross country team has landed in the NAIA Region XII rankings. After a strong performance at the Wilmington Fall Classic, the Bulldogs jumped to No. 4 in this week’s rankings the association announced Monday.

Senior Brandon Kibert (Tazewell, Tenn.) and his new school record, 26 minutes and nine seconds, led Union to an 11th place finish in Wilmington, Ohio. Union finished three spots ahead of region foe Berea (Ky.) College.

Bryan (Tenn.) College holds the No. 1 spot followed by Milligan (Tenn.) College and King (Tenn.) College with Berea in fifth behind Union.

Covenant (Ga.) College leads the next five with UVa-Wise, St. Louis College of Pharmacy, Southern Virginia University and Tennessee Wesleyan College from seventh through tenth.

Next for Union is the Southeast Classic in Nashville, Tenn. Saturday.
