GEORGETOWN, Ky. - Union ended the weekend on a rough note with a pair of 3-0 losses at the Georgetown (Ky.) College Tournament Saturday.

No. 13 Embry-Riddle won 25-8, 25-10, 26-24 in the final match of pool play. Then in the consolation match, Cornerstone (Mich.) posted a 25-22, 25-22, 25-13 decision.

The losses drop Union to 7-5, snapping its five-match win streak.

Against Embry-Riddle, Vitoria Oliveria (Sao Paulo, Brazil) had a team-high seven kills, while Cat Neumann (Louisville, Ky.) posted six. Monica Moreland (Louisville, Ky.) and Kalia Yasak (Kula, Hawaii) registered 13 and eight assists, respectively, while Amanda Silva (Londrina, Brazil) notched 12 digs.

In the loss to Cornerstone, Oliveria had 10 kills with Neumann helping with six. Yasak notched 16 assists, while Silva and Moreland had 23 and 10 digs, respectively.

The Lady Bulldogs return to Appalachian Athletic Conference play Tuesday when they pay Virginia Intermont a visits. Match time is set for 6:30 p.m.
