BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – The Union College men’s soccer team looks to knock off the Appalachian Athletic Conference regular-season champion Montreat (N.C.) College in the first round of the AAC Tournament Tuesday at 3 p.m.

The Bulldogs enter the tournament as the No. 8 seed with a 0-6-1 conference record. Union has one more regular-season contest, Saturday against Pikeville (Ky.) College on Burch-Nau Field at 4 p.m., before the postseason begins. The Bulldogs currently have a 7-8-1 record before Saturday’s match.

Montreat captured the No. 1 seed with a 6-1 AAC record and the Cavs own a 13-3-1 overall record.

The four first-round winners will advance to the semifinals at Camp Jordan’s Osborne Stadium in East Ridge, Tenn. on Friday followed by the AAC Championship Saturday at 7 p.m.
