BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – After a 2-1 overtime loss at Montreat (N.C.) College, the Union College women’s soccer team will make a return trip to Montreat for the first round of the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament Tuesday at 1 p.m.

The Lady Bulldogs and their 3-3-1 conference record gave Union a fifth-place finish while Montreat, the No. 4 seed, owns a 4-3 conference mark and an overall record of 10-4-1.

Union will end the regular season Saturday on Burch-Nau Field with a 2 p.m. contest against Pikeville (Ky.) College. The Lady Bulldogs currently have an overall record of 6-7-1.

The regular-season champions, King (Tenn.) College will host Bluefield (Va.) College. The other two first-round contests features, Covenant (Ga.) College, the No. 2 seed, versus Bryan (Tenn.) College and No. 3 seed Tennessee Wesleyan College against Milligan (Tenn.) College.

All first-round contests are scheduled for Tuesday at the higher seed with the winners advancing to the semifinals and AAC Championship on Friday and Saturday, respectively. The semifinals and championship is set to be played at Camp Jordan’s Osborne Stadium in East Ridge, Tenn.
