BLUEFIELD, Va. - Union registered 14 service aces Thursday as it recorded its second win in a row and fifth consecutive Appalachian Athletic Conference victory with a 3-0 sweep of host Bluefield (Va.).

The Lady Bulldogs improve to 15-10 overall and 8-1 in AAC play, while the Lady Rams fall to 4-17 overall and 1-9 in conference action.

Union won the first two sets by the identical scores of 25-17, 25-17 and sealed the win with a 25-13 decision in the third set.

Amelia Cantrell (Georgetown, Ky.) led Union with 10 kills, while Maddie Peterson (Soda Springs, Idaho) and Karina Ramos (Presidente, Brazil) each had four.

Monica Moreland (Louisville, Ky.) and Kalia Yasak (Kula, Hawaii) both registered 16 assists and three aces. Linsey Ellis (Florence, Ky.) helped out with 10 digs.

Union returns to action Saturday at Reinhardt (Ga.) in AAC action. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
