COLUMBIA, Ky. - A 100-yard game from Armond Smith along with three touchdown passes from Mike Brinkley added up to another Union victory as the Bulldogs posted a 44-14 decision over host Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) Saturday.

Smith (Stone Mountain, Ga.) ran for 126 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries, marking the third time this season he rushed for over 100 yards in a game. Meanwhile, Brinkley (Anthony, Fla.) completed 16-of-28 passes for 253 yards for three touchdowns.

The Bulldogs outgained the Blue Raiders 569-250 as Union piled up 316 yards rushing. On the season, Union has 1,910 rushing yards and ran for 300-plus yards in a game three times this season.

Union (4-3 overall, 1-1 Mid-South Conference West) returns home Saturday to host Belhaven (Miss.) at 1:30 p.m.

After a scoreless first quarter, Union scored twice in the second to take a 14-0 lead into the half. Brinkley hit Sean Mackey (Reddick, Fla.) for a 2-yard touchdown pass to give Union a 7-0 advantage. On Union's next possession, Brinkley and Mackey hooked up again. This time from 4 yards out to life the Bulldogs to a two-score cushion.

Mackey finished the game with four receptions for 38 yards and two touchdowns, giving him 25 catches for 430 yards and team-best nine touchdowns.

Chad Boyington (Stockbridge, Ga.) booted a 28-yard field goal on Union's first drive of the second half to up the margin to 17-0. The Bulldogs added two more touchdowns in the third to take a 31-7 lead. Smith added a 16-yard touchdown run, while Chandler Priest (Loganville, Ga.) punched the ball in on a 7-yard run.

After Lindsey Wilson (2-5 overall, 1-1 Mid-South Conference East) scored to make it 31-14, Union closed out the game by scoring the final 13 points. Peanut Manns (Ocala, Fla.) scored on a 3-yard run to up the margin to 37-14. The Bulldogs completed the scoring when Brinkley hit P.J. Burrowes (Middlesboro, Ky.) for a 15-yard scoring play.

Burrowes hauled in four passes for 100 yards for the fifth game in a row a Bulldog has racked up 100 yards receiving.
