
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Against a highly-completive field, Union College’s Kandy Hubbard covered the 5k course at the Southeastern Cross Country Classic in 21 minutes and 48 seconds Saturday.
Hubbard (Hinkle, Ky.) was 14 seconds off her school-record time, set in September. Her time was good enough to finish 80th.
Freshman Jeanne Davis (Harrogate, Tenn.) finished with a 27:73, five seconds off her personal best.
No. 5 Cedarville (Ohio) University took the team championship with 27 points with No. 8 Malone (Ohio) College 21 points behind.
Union will prepare for the Appalachian Athletic Conference/Region XII Cross Country Championship at Sycamore Shoals State Park in Elizabethton, Tenn. Saturday, November 3. The women’s 5k race is scheduled to begin at 10:15 a.m.
