STERLING, Kan. -- The Union men's basketball team dropped an 82-64 decision to Tabor on Friday afternoon as part of the Sterling College Warrior Classic.

With the loss, Union dropped to 2-4 on the year and had a two-game winning streak snapped. Tabor improved to 3-1 with the win.

In the first half, Tabor controlled things from the start and went into intermission with a 43-27 lead. The Bluejays never looked back from this point on, in a game that saw only one lead change in 40 minutes of play.

Union was led on the night by Turrell Morris (Columbus, Ohio) who recorded his third double-double in as many games with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Morris shot 7-for-11 from the floor in the game and went 6-of-8 from the free throw line. The other double-digit scorer on the night for Union was Ian Davis ( Cherry Hill, N.J.), who had 13. Cody Miller (Barbourville, Ky.) added nine points in the losing effort, as well.

For Tabor, Damon Dechant had 20 points to lead the Bluejays in the convincing victory.

Union returns to action tomorrow evening when they wrap up the Warrior Classic with a tilt against host Sterling. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
