BARBOURVILLE, Ky. --
Union College head bowling coach Brad Piper
has announced that Jonathan Courtney has signed a letter of intent to join to Bulldog program this fall.
Courtney has prepped at Scott County High School in Georgetown, Ky., where he's competed for four years on the school's bowling team. There, he registered a high sanctioned game of 290, series of 741, and yearbook average of 210.
This past year, Courtney qualified for the Kentucky/Indiana High School All-Star Team and for the 2011 Junior Gold Nationals. In 2009-10, he captured the Northern Bluegrass Association's High Youth Game, Series, and Average awards, and in 2007 placed third at the Kentucky State USBC Youth Division I Tournament.
