BARBOURVILLE, Ky. --
Union College head softball coach Danny Fish
has announced that Cameron Campbell has signed a letter of intent to join the program this fall. Campbell has prepped at William Blount high school in Maryville, Tenn.
"Cameron is a versatile player that can play multiple positions and will be asked to come in ready to go," said Fish.
This past season, Campbell was an All-Blount County and All-District selection (earning that distinction for the third time in her career), after leading William Blount both at the plate, and defensively as the team's starting catcher.
In her senior season, Campbell hit .447 with five home runs and 36 RBI, recording a .697 slugging percentage. She also posted an impressive .989 fielding percentage, as the Lady Govs reached the Sub-State playoffs in Tennessee in 2011.
