ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- Union College's Karina Ramos was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference's Volleyball Hitter of the Week for the period ending Sept. 25 the league announced  Monday.

Ramos (Presidente Prudente, Brazil), a sophomore, led the Lady Bulldogs to a solid week, as the team went 2-1 overall with a pair of 3-0 sweeps over AAC foes Bryan and Tennessee Wesleyan. The lone loss for UC came at Asbury on Saturday, 3-1. 

On the week, Ramos recorded 28 kills, 16 digs, and an assist. She also notched five aces, and two solo blocks, as well. Ramos ended the week with a 45.3 attack percentage. 

For the season, Ramos has posted a 26.3 attack percentage, which is the fifth highest mark in the AAC for the season.

Union returns to action tomorrow evening when they travel to Bluefield for an AAC match-up. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m.
