PINEVILLE, Ky. - The Union men's golf team fired a 290 during the final round of the Union College Fall Invitational Tuesday to win the event by 11 strokes. The Lady Bulldogs finished second in the women's field.

The Bulldogs trailed Cumberland (Tenn.) by two strokes after the opening round. However, Union shot a 290 to finish with a 589. Cumberland struggled during the final round, shooting a 307 to finish third with 604. Meanwhile, Reinhardt (Ga.) sneaked in to take second with a total score of 600.

Garrett Bradley (Jellico, Tenn.) and Josh Dyer (Lexington, Ky.) both represented Union on the All-Tournament Team. Bradley placed second overall with score of 144, while Dyer tied for third with a 145. Zach Lindsey of Reinhardt was the medalist, finishing with a 139. Nick Quick of Indiana Tech and Vince Drahman of Cumberlands (Ky.) also made the squad as they tied for third with a 145.

Tim Cooper (Falmouth, Ky.) helped out with a 149, and Thomas Scott (Musselburgh, Scottland) followed with a 151.

In the women's field, Union tallied a 687 to come four strokes short of first-place Indiana Tech. Reinhardt was third with 733, and Bryan (Tenn.) took fourth at 761.

Tiffany Willis (Berea, Ky.) and Kayla Horn (London, Ky.) represented Union on the All-Tournament Team. Willis finished second with a 164, and Horn was fifth at 170. Megan Garrison of Indiana Tech was the medalist with a 157, while Kayla Smith of Reinhardt was third at 168 and Audrey Nelson of Bryan was fourth at 168.

Brittany Zins (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Kacie Powers (Pineville, Ky.) placed ninth and 10th as the posted scores of 176 and 178, respectively.

The Bulldogs are finished for the fall season, but the Lady Bulldogs will play in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Fall Tournament on Oct. 17-18 in Brevard, N.C.
