INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Lady Bulldogs rolled a school-record 233 baker game at the Western Shootout in Indianapolis, Ind., as they finished 19th overall over the weekend. The Bulldogs posted a 37th finish.
The Union women's bowling team tallied a total pin fall 6,634 to place 19th out of 23 teams. Hannah Roberts had an outstanding tournament, posting a score of 1,100 to place 14th out of 160 bowlers. Kayleen Hiatt and Christy King finished 43rd and 49th, respectively with pin falls of 982 and 957. Shawna Ivey had a pin fall of 648, and Juleda Hyde helped out with a 612.
Robert Morris (Ill.) won the event with a 8,850.
The Union men's team rolled a total pin fall of 7,008 to finish 37th overall. Robert Morris won with a score of 9,345. Joey Davenport paced the Bulldogs with a score of 1,046 to place 74th out of 267 bowlers.
Andrew Long and Michael Davenport followed with scores of 975 and 973, respectively. Jonathan Courtney helped out with a 935, Matt Francis scored a 304, and Will Sanderson had a 244.
The Union squads will next play at the Orange and Black Classic in Beavercreek, Ohio.
